BlueSky Market Research, Inc. ("BlueSky," "we", or "us") is a qualitative research, field services, and consulting company which connects consumers and professionals with market researchers. We recruit and perform field services for market researchers, product design firms, agencies, and other clients nationwide.

BlueSky is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of personal information. We do not conduct sales or direct marketing, nor do we provide personal information to be used for direct contact sales or marketing purposes. In short, BlueSky will never sell, trade, or disclose your personal information.

Personal Information

Personal information provided to BlueSky is confidential and is only used to determine eligibility for market research opportunities. Personally identifying information such as your name, address, date of birth, and contact information will not be shared without your expressed permission and only when research objectives require it. (e.g., address information for a confirmed in-home interview) Your participation in any study or qualification questionnaire acknowledges that you agree to the use and sharing of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The only personal information actively collected by BlueSky is that which is voluntarily provided. BlueSky does not place files or programs such as "cookies" on an individual's computer while they are visiting our web site. Individual browsers may send limited system information such as IP addresses and originating web sites; this information may be viewed to help understand how our web site is used.

Personal information is safeguarded on secured systems and is used only for the purpose stated. In order to respond to an inquiry, an email address or other contact information may be requested when we are contacted. This information is shared with BlueSky employees on a need to know basis only.

Email and Other Communication

BlueSky may have personal email addresses in its email system or data files that are acquired through:

  • Requests for information submitted to our web site
  • Emails/phone numbers sent to BlueSky
  • Research surveys completed for BlueSky
  • Clients who have provided email addresses/phone numbers for research purposes

  • The CAN Spam act of 2003, applies specifically to commercial emails sent for the purpose of sales or direct marketing. BlueSky does not fall into this category. However, it voluntarily observes the CAN SPAM act requirements that can be applied to survey research. BlueSky uses email as a means of communicating to known clients and customers. When email is used to invite respondents to participate in research opportunities, the following processes are used to ensure we do not send SPAM:

  • We clearly identify ourselves and/or the client when sending an invitation
  • We provide contact information should there be any questions or concerns
  • We provide the option to be removed from future email research invitations
  • We reuse email addresses only as legitimate follow up to survey research

  • These processes ensure that we contact only those who could have an expectation of being contacted for research purposes.

    Opting Out

    If at anytime you wish to discontinue your membership with BlueSky and no longer wish to receive market research invitations, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in any e-mail communication you receive from BlueSky.

    BlueSky Community Database

    BlueSky maintains the BlueSky Community Database for the purpose of inviting respondents to participate in research activities. Registration into this database is available through a link on the BlueSky's primary, Facebook, and Twitter web sites. An invitation to participate in future survey research may also be distributed through other means.

    Information provided by participants in the registration questionnaire is voluntary and is used for the purpose of identifying eligibility for invitations to participate in future market research opportunities. Follow up questions may be necessary to qualify a respondent for specific research studies. Participation in the BlueSky Community Database may be discontinued at any time by visiting the Membership cancellation link provided in all correspondance as well as the BlueSky Market Research website.

    BlueSky reserves the right to modify and update this policy and its related business practices at any time. Please view this Privacy Policy on a regular basis.

    Disclosure of Personal Information

    Under certain circumstances, BlueSky may be required or permitted by law or court orders to collect, use, and/or disclose personal information; notice may not be required.

    In the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, dissolution, reorganization or acquisition of BlueSky, the acquiring party would agree to be bound by the terms of the BlueSky Privacy Policy before any information would be transferred.

    Personal information may also be disclosed when the research qualification instrument clearly states that the information will be disclosed or, when a participant makes a request during the qualification process that can only be fulfilled by disclosing information from the survey.

    Access to BlueSky Community Information

    Only authorized BlueSky employees carrying out authorized business functions are allowed to access BlueSky data or databases.

    BlueSky employees are required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement in which they agree to keep all project and respondent personal information confidential. Employees who violate the Confidentiality Agreement are subject to disciplinary actions, including termination when appropriate.

    Information Security

    BlueSky is committed to keeping personal data secure and will take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information from loss, misuse or alteration. This data is stored on a secure remote network storage location in a facility run and maintained by experts in data security. The custodians of this network are partners with various online information security associations including: the Online Trust Alliance, the Email Experience Council, and the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group. BlueSky monitors the best practices created by these three organizations and follows their recommendations for best practices in data security.

    Children's Privacy

    BlueSky does not knowingly make direct contact with children under the age of 13 to participate in research activities without first obtaining consent from the child's guardian. If we require personal information from children under the age of 13, we will first contact the parent or legal guardian to arrange the market research activities as well as encourage the parent or legal guardian to closely monitor and participate in the market research project. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child whose information is stored in our BlueSky Community Database, you may at any time request to review, in its entirety, the information of your child which we maintain in our database.     International Users

    Personal Information collected on this Site will be stored and processed in the United States and by using this Site in any country other than the United States, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
